  1. Sep 24, 2018 Today, we are announcing the general availability of Office 2019 for Windows and Mac. Office 2019 is the next on-premises version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, Access, and Publisher.
  2. Apr 09, 2018  I have one mac user in my environment and they started to experience this same issue within the past week. This is still an issue. Microsoft should really release a service health update for Office 365 Admins so we are aware that this is an issue.

Use VBA add-ins and macros that you developed for Office for Windows with Office for Mac.

Applies to: Excel for Mac PowerPoint for Mac Word for Mac Office 2016 for Mac

Oct 01, 2017 If you already have Office on your computer, you can go here: Update history for Office 2016 for Mac - Office Support and click on the relevant update package for Outlook 15.40. Once this has been installed you'll be able to use Outlook. Oct 27, 2015  Not for everyone: With so many free or cheaper email offerings available, getting an Office 365 subscription ($6.99 per month or $69 for a year) just for Outlook may not be the best use of your money.

If you are authoring Macros for Office for Mac, you can use most of the same objects that are available in VBA for Office. For information about VBA for Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, see the following:

Note

Mac microsoft remote desktop ignores screen resolution. Outlook for Mac and OneNote for Mac do not support VBA.

Office 2016 for Mac is sandboxed

Unlike other versions of Office apps that support VBA, Office 2016 for Mac apps are sandboxed.

Outlook

Sandboxing restricts the apps from accessing resources outside the app container. This affects any add-ins or macros that involve file access or communication across processes. You can minimize the effects of sandboxing by using the new commands described in the following section.
